    Default S&W M&P compact ??

Hey all- I am the pround owner of a new S&W M&P9C (goes with my M&P 15 X perfectly). Been looking for night sights for the 9C but can't find an exact model that says it is for the compact. I would prefer adjustable sights but would settle for fixed. Thanks for any help.

Any sights for the M&P will fit the compact. There is no difference.

I have a M&P9C and freaking LOVE IT!!! I got the warren tactical fiber optic sights on mine, but they have tritium sights that looks cool as well.

Congrats man. You have a great gun on your hands.

    Here's some trijicons

Here's the warrens. I have the plain black rear and fiber front, but the 2 dot tritium looks really cool.

    I got a M&P 9C a few weeks back.

I really like it and the price tag VS a new GLock 19 sealed the deal.

As P-11 said, any set of M&P sights will fit on any gun.

I've been working on a list o' links to all things M&P related and here are all the sights that are available for the M&P:

    Sights:
    10-8 Performance - http://www.10-8performance.com/
    AmeriGlo - http://ameriglo.com/
Bowie Tactical/AmeriGlo (designed by David Bowie, made by AmeriGlo) -http://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com...ndpSights.html
Burwell M&P Fixed Target Rear Sight - http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/sights.htm
    Crimson Trace - http://www.crimsontrace.com/
    Dawson Precision - http://www.dawsonprecision.com/
    Heinie Specialty Products - http://www.heinie.com/
    HiViz - http://www.hivizsights.com/
    Meprolight - http://www.meprolight.com/
    Novak - http://www.novaksights.com
    SureSight - http://www.suresight.com
    Trijicon - http://www.trijicon.com
    LaserMax Uni-Max Rail Mount Laser - http://www.lasermax.com/product.php?id=104
    Warren Tactical - http://www.warrentactical.com
    XS Sight Systems - http://www.xssights.com

Mind you, those are mainly direct links to the company that manufactures the sights, just to get an idea of what's out there.

Oh yes, I'm a fan of the M&P I have 3 so far and have plans to add another to my collection soon.

What might be easier, or harder depending on how you look at it, would be to try and find someone who owns a Steyr pistol. From what I can tell, almost all Steyr pistols come with the trapezoidal sights. Do a Google search on 'trapezoidal sights' and 'trapezoid sights', you'll get lots of hits.

What might make it hard: Steyr Arms, the US importer, posted on their website on February 29th that they won't be importing any pistols for the "foreseeable future". They said they've imported over 20,000 pistols into the US over the last couple years and that many of those pistols are still available at various distributors and dealers across the country.

FWIW, there's a thread here that was started in March of 2007 and resurrected in June of 2008. In the thread, Lycan mentioned that he had a Steyr pistol. I don't know if he still has it, but it doesn't hurt to ask
