Default Books or DVD's for better shooting

Can anyone recommend a good book or DVD for handgun shooting? I'm interested in techniques to increase accuracy and speed. I've been into archery my whole life so I know how important form and follow through are in shooting. With handguns I'm not familiar with what stance to use in different situations, drawing techniques. I researched different grips and right now I like the straight thumbs grip, but I would like some more info. Thanks.

Gun Digest Book of Combat Handgunnery, 5th Edition is the only one I can vouch for personally. I found his description of "rolling the trigger" to be really helpful.

You may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

I'm also getting reccomendations for these books from others:

Lycanthrope, you have just about sold me on this book you keep pushing. Everytime someone mentions reading, you bring up Enos and his book. Guess I am going to have to check it out and see what the guy has to say.

The Enos book is more than just about shooting. It's about focus and mindset to shooting.

You will read that book and not understand everything the first time. Five years and 20,000 rounds later, you'll get more.

The Enos book taught me you can see the front sight cycle during recoil. It taught me to use a different focus for different shots. Lately, I lightened the slide on my .40 to make it cycle faster. I was watching the front sight slide up and thinking "hurry up and get back down there...I'm ready to pull the bang button again."

wow! i wanna be able to see the front sight cycle during recoil.

of course, with my eyes, i can barely see the front sight when it's sitting still, but...

    seriously, though, that is amazing.

The first thing you begin to see is the front sight rise up (and sometimes to the 1 o'clock position. After that, you begin to discern the rearward motion.

Anyone can do it. You just need to learn where to focus.

getting off topic, but i think useful...

i do see the front sight rise up...and generally to 1 o'clock. i've been kinda focusing lately on trying to get it to rise straight up to 12 o'clock instead of 1 o'clock.

should i not worry about that?
