Savage Mark II-G
Hey folks! I'm currently trying to get my hands on a CZ 452 FS, but surprisingly my father has expressed interest in taking up shooting! This is great news as he and I haven't done anything recreational together in almost two decades.
That said, I know that if he gets into this he isn't going to want share a gun with me, hence this thread. How is the Savage Mark II-G out-of-the-box? Is it easy to clean/maintain? How does it compare to the rifle I'm going to get?

Re: Savage Mark II-G
I have a version of the Mark II but it is a bull barrel version with a grey laminate stock. Very nice gun and great shooter, I would definitely recommend getting the bull. The bull would be comparable to the CZ, the standard barrel would be close.
Guns are good.
