I had received a little information from BoBs Army navy for the K98. The orginal rounds in the Mauser were 150 g FMJs. Now i have yet to find any 150 g FMJs surplus or otherwise.

One of the guys at the gun counter gave me a little thing to test out that he had tried in his K98.

    150 g. Hornady spitzers
    50 g IMR 4895
    Federal 210 primer
any brand brass you want to load.

I havent tested it yet but im gonna give it a try once things warm up and i get the chance get out.
