From your cold dead hand...literally
Serious question, because after days of searching I still got nothin'.
What is the legality of being buried with your most trusted firearm?

I don't think it's allowed, because if there's one thing worse than a zombie, it's a zombie with a gun, and if there's anything worse than that, it's a fast zombie with a gun.
Seriously though, I don't know...Rules are written in the stone,

all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: From your cold dead hand...literally
huh?
What "legality" could there be?
Why would you waste a good firearm by being buried with it? No kids, other relations or even friends to leave it with?
...and how would you know if your wish were fulfilled? Haha! the undertaker could just keep the piece and what would you do?
Sorry for being incredulous about your question but it just seems like a stupid waste to me.
Hey, it's your gun and you can do whatever you like but why?

Is that a gun in your pocket, or is that rigor mortis?
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

Re: From your cold dead hand...literally
Hey, just bury me with a shovel and an oxygen tank. Just in case it's an Obamacare doctor that declares me "probably dead".
I wouldn't trust that the gun would make it into the ground and stay there. I doubt that most jewelry goes into the crematorium or grave. I see how "loving" family members get when someone dies and stuff is up for grabs, so I have to assume that strangers would be as greedy or worse when they see an $800 gun about to get buried.
Crooks break into houses to steal a gun that will be reported stolen; you don't think the cemetery workers with the back hoes would spend half an hour to recover a free gun that won't go onto the stolen property database?

I'm not sure of the legalities, a funeral director would be the one to ask.
