Default Pa state revenue building in philly

the state building on board and spring garden can't bring you guns, no metal detector tho.
8th and arch, revenue dept, can't bring you gun, must walk thru metal detector. I asked the guards if they checked in weapons, nope.

at least the courthouse lets you check your weapons.

so if you gotz to go to the state building, leave the weapons in the ride. feel bad for the ppl that ride bus. take 1/2 day off from work to visited the state building only to find that you have to return home to drop the weapon off, now gotz to take a full day off work.

Q: Where can I not carry my firearm at all?
A: School property, government buildings, courthouses, court facilities, Magisterial District Judges' offices, Federal buildings, post offices, airports, and airplanes. The laws governing where you may not possess a firearm can be found in Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statues and Title 18 of the United States Code.

You'll have to do a LOT better than that with gnbrotz; when he challenges you on the law, it's like hearing a snaky rattling sound while walking through the woods.

I don't think this is going to end well for you....

Umm...yeah...I'm pretty well-versed on the Uniform Firearms Act. Since I'm not aware of a statutory prohibition on carry in "government buildings", I thought maybe you could cite the relevant statute rather than pasting some info from a Q&A somewhere.

Shouldn't that be "pasting some mis-information from a Q&A somewhere"??

Last I checked you could still carry in the non-secure portions of airports, and courts were required to have lockers for you to secure your stuff once you entered the building. Schools are a grey area, as well.
