I've always liked the Charter Arms Boomer - no front sight, ported, 44 special. So, when I saw this one in the black nitride finish and T grip with classic stocks how could I resist. Yes, I am weak

Would that be a Boomer for a boomer?

To me, the Gen 5 triggers feel just a tad less mushy and break a tad bit cleaner. The telling of it for me is when I watch the front sight alignment w.r.t. the rear sight when the striker drops. With the Gen 5, the front sight hardly moves. Groups are tighter as a result, and busting claybirds standing on edge on the range berm, or chasing empty cans around the berm is easier with a Gen 5.

With the Gens 3 and 4, the front sight shifted in the notch when the striker dropped, unless I polished some of the FCG bits and installed a Zev trigger spring. But no matter the trigger improvement, I still had the issue of my imperfection fingers not exactly aligning perfectly with the perfect Glock Gen 3 and 4 perfection finger grooves.

I'm not even a revolver guy. Generally speaking I don't care for revolvers. I don't own any.

Even with that said the Colt Python is still my favorite handgun. The thing is just that awesome

Why the hell don't I have one?

    Oh right....money

Sold a number of guns over the past four days and found a grail gun of sorts, a minty in box Walther P5 identical to this one, with test target, manual, cleaning rod, and two magazines:

The best thing about the one I found was that its trigger pulls are excellent, particularly the single action pull - the front sight doesn't move relative to rear sight when the trigger is pulled. The DA pull stacks like mad, but the sights stll stay aligned when the hammer falls.

No pictures yet but I managed to finally find the suppressor for my b&t tp9. I’ve been looking since July.

    First ever cowboy boots.

Just sold my .44-40 SAA revolver, though.

Very nice. That's on my bucket list as well. Just haven't found the right one at the right price yet. Congrats!
