Default IDPA props - help me build a car

I'm wondering if anyone has plans or suggestions on building a representation of an auto for IDPA use? It doesn't need to be a full vehicle, but should include windshield area, steering wheel, dash (including glove box), and maybe even a center console. The thought is that any chair could be used in place of seats.

Hopefully this could be at least partially disassembled for storage (and easier moving/transportation).

At PMSC they just have the front half of a Hyundai.

It would probably be easier to just get a real car. Cut it in half if you want to.

Yeah, that was discussed, but consensus was that that was overkill and would prevent moving/storage issues at this particular location. It doesn't have to look "real", just provide a realistic environment to simulate retrieving your weapon/shooting from a vehicle.

    Maybe.

Although I bet a chopped compact without an engine or much else would be much heavier than if you made it out of wood. Probably cheaper too.

Does your club have a tractor? Gator? Truck? Anything?

It would probably be easiest to get an old car and push/pull/tow/ it to wherever you want it with someones truck.

Trust me. Somebody will be willing to see how well their truck pulls

Maybe pick up the furniture from a junkyard, and build the frame from wood? I don't know the first thing about woodworking, but if you used door hinges to connect everything with, you could easily pull it apart for transportation.

If you leave it intact with a running engine it makes it much easier to move.

Or, just use your car and you keep all the brass picked out from under the seat.
