CTG2 is dead! ugh
I just spoke with Taurus customer service looking for a release date for the CTG2 and was advised that it isn't going into production. That sucks, it looked like a nice PCC, just a little heavy. BUMMED!

Re: CTG2 is dead! ugh
Well crap. I looked at the ones they had at the NRA Annual Meeting last year in Pittsburgh, and liked them. I had a feeling that this might happen. (Lately Taurus only seems to put about 1/3 of the products it announces into actual production - anyone remember the compact PT1911 that was supposed to come out just after the full size?)
The CTG2 is already in production and use elsewhere in the world (look it up on youtube; I think the Brazilian police use it). Why not bring it into the U.S.?

Well, I hope the lady at Taurus was wrong because I would really like to have one, but she said it was a no go.

Re: CTG2 is dead! ugh
I was looking at an HK USC http://www.hk-usa.com/civilian_products/usc_general.asp before I got my AK and came to the conclusion that there really isnt much practicallity in a PCC (like said above, pistol caliber carbine). If your gonna have something that size it might as well be a rifle caliber. Now, if your gonna go balls out, SBR one, and wait a year, then maybe.
Fun, hell yes. Practical, not so much. I dont have enough guns yet that I can waste money on the fun stuff. I'm still in the practical stage. Kudos to those of you who arent.
Change my mind, lets discuss
