Default My 1st Interview with Gander Mountain, Anyone Else Work There?

I just had my 1st interview with Gander Mountain in Dickson City for firearm sales associate. The gentleman interviewing me was very nice, made the interview very pleasent. The interview itself went allright, not great but not horrible. I was just wondering if anyone else worked at Gander Mountain and what the interview process is like. I got through my 1st and they said they would call me back to either schedule a second interview or tell me to piss off, which usually isnt too good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didnt find that out yet. He asked if I had any questions, I just wasnt about to ask what the discount was right off the bat. I hope its atleast 15%, 20% would be great. A man can dream cant he. More than likley I have a feeling its 10%. Even that would help with the cost of ammo.

Don't know about GM's discount, but I worked for Bass Pro Shops for a few years and their discount was awesome. 40% off anything made by Bass Pro, i.e. Worldwide Sportsman, Redhead, etc., and then 15% off all other merchandise. Not guns or ammo, tho.

    Good luck, tho.

I have no clue, at this point in the process they didnt tell me/we didnt discuss it. Being young and kind of still in college it probably wont be that high. Im just crossing my fingers. Though their prices are a down fall, handling guns all day is a plus. I just cant wait to get my hand in there and learn even more than I do now. I just hope its not like leland said and the discount isnt on guns and ammo.

If not, oh well still a cool job, for me atleast. Im just worried because in the wonderful world of retail, the interview process is mulitple steps with mulitple meeting days, usally a drug test being the second meeting. Every job I have had in retail, they have set up the 2nd meeting right then and there if they are going to/ thinking about hiring you.

I have seen people being interviewed for the 1st time and right then and there they are like "well thanks for coming in well get back to you", pretty much saying get bent. Where as like I said if they are really considering you they give you the 2nd right then and there. So im not getting my hopes up.
