    Default M16A2 sling

a friend of mine recently bought an AR. He is an ex-marine. He wants a sling that is the same as the one he had when he was active, however long ago that was. They had A2's not the new M4's then.

    help?

It's the standard issue sling with the compression buckle also used on the M1 and M14 only updated with synthetic material and black instead of OD.

Gunshows and Army Surplus stores are his best bet.

    Semper Fi,
Tell him to hit up http://www.diytactical.com/ and he should be able to get more webbing than he knows what to do with, or just enough and some triglides to make up his own for next to nothing.

Just ordered a few myself a couple weeks ago. I don't think they are actually nylon, they seem to be cotton. Same as the sling that I got with my Armalite, but they seem be be slightly used.
Removed NRA Life Member pic. LaPierre and Chris Cox are ruining NRA.
