To be fair to the reporter, in the portion of the article quoted here, the reporter was actually quoting a police officer. It may be reasonable to assume that the reporter got the quote right, but the officer used the incorrect terminology. Just sayin...

Well now I know. You really can learn something everyday. I'll bet it would be pretty hard to hit that skeet without hitting the launcher. Kind of like a low house station 8 coming at you from a foot instead of the regulation 21 yards.
