    This:

    http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetac...tail.bok?no=29

Deploys every time I shoulder the rifle.

    It's windage adjustable.

Troys are good if you like folding sights. My buddy has the MBUS on his rifle (M&P-15 MOE)....I think they're a good option for recreational rifles...wouldn't want them on a self defense gun. You are limited to using their apertures, too. This is the same deal with the Troy.

Avoid ARMS, Daniel Defense makes another great standup rear, and some other brands do too.

    What are you looking for?

Very - it's fixed so it's always there.

    windage and elevation ?

It's a rear sight so windage only. Elevation adjusted via front sight.

what are the better brands ?

LaRue, MI, Daniel Defense, etc. The usual suspects.

Nope, but read decent things about it on the Interwebs.

I've got an MBUS, I haven't run it yet though. I think that's gonna be set up for when I run my .22 through and my LaRue BUIS which is zeroed for XM193.
The MBUS's only downfalls in my opinion are that the leftside latch can interfere with working the charging handle unless you have an extended latch and that it is not QD and requires the screw be removed completly to mount/unmount/move the sight. Other than those minor cons I would sat that is it a great sight for the money. Low profile when down, easily deployed, the sight apetures are both on the same plane. It should also be noted it is not adjustable for range.
The LaRue BUIS like everything else from LaRue is rock solid. It is noncollapsible and is adjustable for zero, not readily adjustable for windage as a coin or something similar is needed to turn the adjuster. It does however have both large and small apetures and can be ordered with standard A2 apertures or a same plane apertures. The QD lever is on the right side so as not to interfere with the charging handle. Like I said this sight is rock solid, you could probably hang from the rifle by it and and you are assured of the usual LaRue return to zero after remounting it.
These are the two I have personal experience, the only concerns I have with the Magpul are minor as stated above and the LaRue you can bet your life on.

I run the arms 40L SP (same plane).

I do have a rear mbus on one of my ar's - but i'm not too fond of it. I went cheap - there is nothing "wrong" with it. It's just a pain to switch between the big and little apature - plus, it's plastic. It will work but i like the arms better.

Why? My arms 40L SP's have been working great.

I refuse to buy anything that Larue makes. It might be good stuff but that guy is an Ass - hole. With a capital A.

That's why I got the Larue.

I didn't want adjustment knobs to snag on anything, and I wanted to run the CSAT aperture. That thing is the shit for anyone who uses their iron sights.

It means you can use either the big apature or the little and the POA - POI will be the same - thus - same plane.

Are you serious? First off ARMS are known for falling apart, stripping out. I've talked to guys whose squads have BOXES of the damn things sitting around broken. Secondly what did you do to piss Mark off? He is a serious all around stand up guy. LaRue gets any and all business I can give them as their products are second to none and their customer service is exceptional. I would love to know what basis you have for your opinion. Is it because his mounts are better than ARMS and is willing to replace for free any broken/defective ARMS product with the LaRue equivalent?
