Default Good place to order an AR 15

I would like to buy an ar 15 kit but I really do not want to wait half a lifetime for it to come in. Does anyone know a good site where i can go to order one that will not take 20-30 weeks for shipping? Thanks

Give Anvil Arms a call. I received an e-mail from them that said they're pretty well caught up on a lot of their inventory.

AR-15's aren't too hard to find now since the buying craze has cooled off. I'd take a look at local gun shops before going online.

    Agreed as well.
My dealer here in the city has a nice stock of AR's (Colt 6920's, DPMS and Bushmasters)

And the prices have come down.

I can tell you that Shyda's in Lebanon just got a whole LOAD of DPMS in today, there must be 16 or more there!

Looks like everyone is missing the OP's point of building a kit. (smile)

Complete uppers and many parts right now are still tough to get ahold of.
A couple of weeks ago I had a FTF with a fellow from J&T and my understanding was that common uppers are or will be available sooner then uncommon uppers.

That is to say one that is typically looking for say a M4gery build has a much better chance at completion sooner rather then later due to parts available to build them.

If your looking to build say something with a 20" SS fluted barrel that is ported and coated with say a few other options you'll have a much longer wait.

While it's smelling better out there it still doesn't smell like roses.

You won't be saving much, if any at all. The advantage of building is to learn, have fun while doing it, and building 1 to you exact customized liking. If you are going to build a basic AR that everyone is selling, it's definitely not worth it. You'll need to invest in required tools...and a lot of time finding parts, watching videos, and doing the actual build.
