Top 5 .380 auto pistols
I have an acquaintance who is insisting on a .380 for CC ; what are in your opinions the top five out there to be had. He was looking at a PPK/S ...it's not on my top five and I owned one...
My list

Re: Top 5 .380 auto pistols
BG380 makes a very good cc pistol. Forget about the laser, and the safety is belt-and-suspenders on that gun. I owned one, NOT a range gun.
LCP is a good gun. LC380 is nice but larger. Many people swear by the P3AT. I swore at every Keltec I ever shot, but that's me.
The PPK or PPK/S is larger like the LC380, not really pocket guns IMO. I own one of each and they're both dependable but ammo finicky and have a lot of recoil for such heavy guns. I actually prefer them in .32.
Kahr, Sig are great guns but pricey compared to the Rugers.
I'd say BG380 or LCP, LC380 or PPK/S if you have a place to conceal it.-gonzo, SoCenPA. "Before all else, be armed." --Niccolo Machiavelli

Re: Top 5 .380 auto pistols
I personally have a Kahr P380. Great for what it is -- an easily concealable pocket pistol with a smooth, revolver style trigger. Kind of snappy to fire, though, and hard to hold because of its miniscule size. Not the most entertaining gun to fire. I wouldn't choose it as my 'only' gun, but only as a backup gun, and for those occasions where belt holster carry of my Glock is not feasible/desired.
Don't forget the Walter PK380, either.

Bersa Firestorm (also Thunder) .380
Ergonomic grip. Low recoil doesn't bite with the weight of the gun. Very accurate.
I carry one every day and would bet my life on it functioning all the time, every time.Last edited by Rblakely; July 8th, 2013 at 09:02 PM.
