Pistol Grip of Regular Stock???
Stock with a pistol grip, or, a leave the stock normal without the pistol grip?
If you had to make a choice which would you go with and why? What are the pros and cons of both. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

Re: Pistol Grip of Regular Stock???
What would be the shotgun's purpose?
Sporting - no pistol grip at all - just a plain shoulder stock.
For SD/HD I prefer a pistol grip only, but if that isn't your cup of tea a stock w/grip. It may depend on the shotgun too, because I might pick a standard shoulder stock due to some of it's features/looks.

Re: Pistol Grip of Regular Stock???
Unless the added maneuverability is a major factor (at the moment for me it is not) for SD I like the pistol grip/stock combination. IMO it gives me more physical control of the gun.

It will be for a Home Defense style of shotgun.

Re: Pistol Grip of Regular Stock???
When putting a pistol grip stock on a shotgun, some people have a difficult time manipulating the safety if the safety is on the top rear of the receiver.
While other Shotguns have a safety near the trigger, making it easier to operate.
I like the pistol grip stock, and my safety is on the top rear of the receiver, but I have long fingers, so I have no problem operating it..
It all depends on what you feel more comfortable with.ZRT -SECTOR-7

Im not a fan of a pistol grip on a shotgun. I just like the normal shoulder stock for that!

Re: Pistol Grip of Regular Stock???
If this is for your new Rem 870, then pistol grip. Knoxx recoil reduction would be my choice.
Pistol grip make sense on 870, because of location of safety.
Pistol grip on Mossy, while look good, makes less sense because of Tang mounted safety.
You can operate safety with pistol grip, but very unnatural.
However, I think pistol grip allows shooter to have better overall onctrol of weapon IMO.
But simple trench gun style shottie is cool too thoAudemus jura nostra defendere
