LTCF copies
I haven't been able to find anything about copies of an LTCF. Can I just make them, or do I have to buy more?

Re: LTCF copies
you can make as many copies as you want, just make sure you keep the original in a safe place. oh and make sure your copies are readable

Re: LTCF copies
I don't know if copies would be acceptable to an LEO, if you need to present it.

Re: LTCF copies
I would certainly hope so! Wayne county gives you the original paper copy plust a photo copy w/ your photo laminated for wallet carry. There are other threads along these lines and I believe the general concensus is that copies are OK. Also, I do not believe there is any statutory requirement for the LTCF to be an "original" copy.

Re: LTCF copies
So from another thread I learn that in Philli you need to notify them immediately if you lose your LTCF and is $50 to get a replacement. So question is what if I lose a copy? do I notify them and pay $50 for a new one?? If so what's the point of making a copy?

Re: LTCF copies
I've used a photocopy of my LTCF when checking my firearm at a courthouse. (The copy I made is good enough that I doubt the deputy even knew it was a copy. Since there is no problem using a copy, it didn't especially concern me if the deputy knew it was a copy or not.)
The exact format, look and feel of the LTCF varies from county to county. Unless the LEO has made a thorough study of various LTCFs, very few would know what one looks like exactly unless it is the same as one that was issued to him/her. It is aso doubtful that very many LEOs have gone to the trouble to obtain their own LTCF.

Re: LTCF copies
Mine in Butler Co. is plastic, same size/shape as my drivers license. I never thought of making a copy. Might be a good idea but would it be legal?
