California Seizes Guns as Owners Lose Right to Keep Arms
Everyone will be deemed mental
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...tml?cmpid=yhoo
Wearing bulletproof vests and carrying 40-caliber Glock pistols, nine California Justice Department agents assembled outside a ranch-style house in a suburb east of Los Angeles. They were looking for a gun owner who’d recently spent two days in a mental hospital.
They knocked on the door and asked to come in. About 45 minutes later, they came away peacefully with three firearms. Its easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled....Mark Twain

All this is going to do is keep people who are having psychological issues from seeking help for fear Big Brother is going to sieze their firearms. I guess they'll be happier when folks refuse to seek help then explode and go on a rampage.

Other states may lack confiscation programs because they don’t track purchases as closely as California, which requires most weapons sales go through a licensed dealer and be reported.
“Very, very few states have an archive of firearm owners like we have,”
^^ As it's been said, registration is the first step to confiscation.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mK2JYfZAmA When will America become America?

Re: California Seizes Guns as Owners Lose Right to Keep Arms
If we all agree that the gun rights of law abiding citizens should not be infringed, what happens when someone ceases to become anything but law abiding?
While I strongly disagree with what California is doing, it's certainly a worthwhile topic to discuss.
As an example, if I lawfully buy and own guns in my 20s, but then when I hit 30, I get 2 DUIs, decide to beat my wife silly and begin engaging in identify theft...what is the recourse against me as it relates to my firearms?
I don't think I have an answer...but I'm interested to see what the board thinks. I can't think of anything that doesn't cross a line towards national registration, etc.

As we see thru the actions in Calif. the "TOOLS" they need to disarm the next generation are already in their hands.
If enough anti-gun parents can convince enough anti-gun doctors to 302 their kids, preferably in later teen angsty situations. Then they will effectively disarm a great portion of the next generation. They can explain it is best for them and continue the cycle into the next generation.
Me, I taught mine gun safety and how to shoot.
