New Neighbors, The Robins

Our new Neighbors decided to grow a family lately...

Yeah they where quiet about building their home, I would have never noticed them had we not decided to have a BBQ today...

Firmly built on a light I have installed out on my back porch, they seem to appreciate the extra heating

There seemed to be a little bit of Fuzz in there, nothing you would notice without poking your nose close...

Just the bare comforts of home

Mom comes by regularly to be sure we don't bother her babes too much

Of course at one point, she was not too sure about MY intentions, they are so private in their ways...

I Don't see youuuuu!

But i know your there! Stay clear of my Babies!

Mom did not like my getting too close.

I believe there are only 2 in the nest, but Robins are known to have as many as 6 babes

Well... I suppose I ought to show off our Robins.

Every year we get a pair of robins who build a nest somewhere on or under our deck. For years they built their nest underneath on the deck frame. Then they built the nest in our hanging baskets. This year they nested inside of our climbing rose on the side of the deck. There are 3 chicks crammed into the nest.
