Does anyone know anything about the M.Research Baby Eagle?
Today I stumbled upon a nice looking pistol known as the Magnum Research Baby Eagle 9. Used price was 375. Does this sound like a fair price. I see on the MR website that they are no longer the importers which worries me as to why that is. This gun has no rails and imo looks alot nicer than the newer version. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Does anyone know anything about the M.Research Baby Eagle?
tHe Baby eagle series are copies of the CZ design, they are built in in italy by Tangfolio and assembled in Israel by IMI now IWI, and imported into the us by Magnum research based in Minnesota, they are a good copy of the CZ but they are quite heavy because they are all steel and good steel at that.
I have the .45 version, big and heavy but i love it, if i come accross a 9mm like yours i would add it to my collection.
If you get it you wont ever have to worry about parts etc. because these gun were imported and marketed by many different companies at one time or another such as . Tangfolglio, Mossberg, IMI, Witness, UZI' Desert Eagle, KBI, TZ, most of the parts from a CZ is identical, the mags from my Witness fits my Baby eagle and Vice versa , if you dont mind the weight go for it.

My buddy from work has the baby eagle .45. It's a nice shooter and he's never had any failures with it, despite the fact that he is not the most thorough cleaner. It is definitely a brick though, and not so pretty (IMO).

I love the way they shoot they have all the weight in the grip and very little in the slide. When you shoot it, a follow up shoot is right behind it because the recoil is so light that the muzzle hardly moves from it's spot. The grip angle is great too. For that price I would buy it.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I had one in .40. Solid heavy reliable gun. Never had any kind of failure. The only thing that's weird about the gun is the sights. The front sight is very small (short) and the rear sight is at least twice as tall. This makes the gun shoot high, really high. I even ordered new factory sights and they were the same. Maybe somebody here could explain why they are like that.

I've shot one before. It felt great and was very smooth. No complaints. If the one you saw was in great shape, that price sounds about right. They aren't horribly priced brand new ($500 and change).

I second what yoder said about the rear sight been very Tall, My .45 too shoot very high, buried in the instruction booklet is the fact that you must shoot at six o' clock even then the gun still shoot high, the only solution is to find a higher front sight or a lower rear sight or maybe the standard ones can be machined to shoot lower, i must look into that.
Like Rovert said , very smooth shooter and pointability.

Re: Does anyone know anything about the M.Research Baby Eagle?
i had one in 45 cal and it was a great gun with zero issues and decent accuracy. i think the baby eagles are one of the most underrated guns available but they just don't seem to catch on and beccome as popular as the glocks, sigs, beretta etc. if the pistol is in good shape 375 is a good price but beware they only come with one mag so you might have to search a bit to find another.

I saw one in 9mm two days ago at East Coast. Brand new. Sorry, I do not remember the price. I do remember thinking that it was a reasonable price.
The fellow behind the counter offered to get it out of the glass case for me.
I replied, "No, please don't!". Then we all laughed. They know me there. I've spent too much money there in the past. I'm finally learning to "Just say no".~ Luke... Come to the dark side... We have cookies! ~
