He delivered where Russell hasn't. The GOP collectively lost this election by ignoring what the people want and just figuring they can shove their agenda down the throats of others. The Iraq war was a big loser, and Bush being a Republican was no help considering his approval ratings. The GOP just didn't get their message out about their economic policy enough to make the difference...combine those things and it's no wonder they almost universally got their behinds handed to them.

You're right! It is apparent that the Congressional Pork that Murtha has brought to his District is much more important to his constituants than their moral beliefs. But that pretty much applies to Dem supporters in general.
