    Default My house was burglarized

Thankfully my wife and kids were not at home.
I lost two Imacs and ugh!....two 9mm pistols(glock 17, keltec pf9) in a small safe under our bed.
Incredibly the scumbags passed on my target 22 and ammocan in our closet, as well as a bunch of other electronic equipment.

My homeowners insurance is covering it all minus my deductible.

The lesson I learned is EVERYONE who has a safe needs to BOLT IT TO THE FREAKING FLOOR!

Wow ... glad to hear that everyone is OK. I hope that they find out who did this.

Sorry to hear this. Glad no one was hurt. Good advice about bolting down the safe.

Look to your friends, neighbors, and aquaintances. Most burgleries are by someone you know and knows what you have.

I'm in the west part of the city. I live on a nice, quiet, tree-lined street. As close to the suburbs, but still in the city. My neighbors built their house 50 years ago and never once had a break-in.

My check's in the mail courtesy of Allstate. Gotta give them props they made this as painless as possible.
I'm gonna head down to Ace in Washington to pickup a new piece, I'm thinking of just getting a glock 26 to replace the two I lost.

Sorry to hear about the break in. Glad to hear that it falls under your insurance. Since the insurance covers the loss minus your deductible. What happens if the pd recovers your stuff? Do you get it back, or does it go ti the insurance company?

Thats a good question...I wonder if I'll even be contacted when/if it gets recovered.

    Unfortunately, this is true.

To the OP... Damn, that sucks. I wish you the best. Would you at least be willing to share very general details of your locations/which PD you called, etc. As a resident of the North Hills with a Pgh address, I'm interested in what their response was and such...
