    Default My newest carry piece

This is my first revolver. I wanted something for pocket carry and I found a pretty good price on this Taurus so I jumped on it. I'm considering having the hammer bobbed but for now, I like that I can shoot in SA as well as DA.

    Taurus Model 85 Ultra-Lite 38spl

I haven't taken this one out to the range yet as it's only been mine for less than 24 hours. Hopefully I'll get to shoot it sometime this weekend.

Thanks to everyone who posted in the thread I started in the Pistols forum: http://forum.pafoa.org/pistols-41/50...rus-ruger.html That thread helped to make my decision a little bit easier.

Its a good gun, it will serve you well, revolvers are pretty much indestructible, I mean to a point but there super reliable and you wont be disapointed with it. Congrats and go shoot it up!
Reputation is what I strive for.

Yes, as far as I know it's Taurus's version of the airweight. I believe it weighs 17oz according to Taurus's website and the manual: http://www.taurususa.com/products/pr...egory=Revolver I handled my friend's 357magnum Taurus and this one was significantly lighter...which was what I wanted for a concealed carry piece. I've still gotta take it to the range, but so far, it seems to fit the bill of what I wanted.

Model 340 is ~13 oz. It is ridiculously pricey however.
