S&W 357 Magnum?
Ho do you find out when a gun was manufactured and model number? Gun of interest is a S & W 357 magnum 6 shot revolver with 2 1/8 " barrel.

You are going to have to get the model number and serial number before anyone can tell you that. Once you get that someone here may be able to answer your question. But if you take this question over to the smith and wesson forum then several people will definitely be able to answer.

The model number for recently manufactured guns will be stamped on the frame under the crane. It will be 3 numbers a dash and another number... 625-8, 686-2, etc..
I can't help you with the date of manufacture or older pre model number guns.
