    Default hi-capacity ruger 10/22 mags

Since I finally got a ruger 10/22 rifle, I was thinking about stocking up on a lot of high capacity magazines (in the event that there is another ban). Would you guys recommend the 25 rounds mags or the 50 round mags? Are there a lot of problems (with jamming and things like that) with those types of magazines? I was thinking about buying a few of these

Should I try to get a clear plastic magazine?

I've had horrid luck with Ramline mags for my 10/22. I've had about 5 and only one of them worked relatively well, but even it was far from perfect.

Steel Lips magazines are great. They've always worked for me and I've yet to wear one out. I did need to file a bit of metal off the top of one to get it to feed properly, but once done, it's been flawless.

Tactical Innovations aluminum magazines are expensive but they have a reputation of being the top of the line. You can take them apart and adjust them so they should be able to work with any 10/22.

+1 On Tactical Innovations-haven't had any problems with my 25-rd mag.

I have never had good luck with the Ramline. They jammed up or would not feed.

Thanks, I'll be sure to stay away from ramline. I had a feeling that they would be crappy. Do you guys know if there are high quality 50 round mags on the market now?

I looked it up and they have a good reputation. But do they make 50 round magazines? I would really love to have a few 50 round magazines.

CDNN has the steel lips for $23.99, have not kept up on the prices so may not be a bargain.

Is it even necessary to have a magazine? Why can't you just have a long bullet chain (kind of like the ones for Gatling guns)?
