Man in custody following report of shots fired in Middletown
Middletown police have a man in custody after a neighbor saw a man with what appeared to be a rifle, but turned out to be a BB gun shooting at birds Sunday morning.
Chief Joseph Bartorilla confirmed the unidentified man was taken into custody following the incident in the 20 block of Tinder Drive in the Twin Oaks section of Levittown. Initial reports that shots were fired turned out to be false, Bartorilla said.
A resident who lives on Tinder Drive said that police blocked off the street after a neighbor reported seeing the man shooting a gun. The resident said the neighbor thought the person was shooting at her house, but he was apparently shooting at a crow.
The man surrendered without incident to police. No further information was immediately available.Jesus is Lord !

Re: Middletown Twp. man arrested with BB gun
Good grief, they updated the story and it is even more stupid now:
Middletown police charged a 22-year-old man with disorderly conduct Sunday morning after neighbors reported a man firing a gun, which turned out to be a BB gun.
Neighbors in the 30 block of Tinder Drive in the Twin Oaks section of Levittown reported seeing an armed man around 9 a.m.; when police arrived at the scene the man, identified as Vincent Santomarco, came outside and surrendered to police, Chief Joseph Bartorilla said.
Santomarco told police he was shooting his BB gun at a scarecrow in his front yard, the chief said. Police confirmed that Santomarco was using an air-rifle and was not firing at any people.
No one was injured, he added. Police issued Santomarco a ticket for disorderly conduct.
Disorderly conduct for shooting a scarecrow in your own yard with a bb gun?

If common sense were to truly avail, the police would go to the woman's house who called and tell her to cut the shit out or she would receive the citation. I won't hold my breath.

Re: Middletown Twp. man arrested with BB gun
If I'm not mistaken, a LOT of townships in SEPA have laws against discharging a weapon, AND they consider BB Guns and bow and arrows to be included. Sucks!
How can our little boys grow up to be men if they aren't allowed to have a bb gun war? Hunt for communist raccoons? Shoot at anthills like they are mortaring Pork Chop Hill? Seriously, we are raising a generation of panty-wearing sissies by passing these ordinances.

The Middletown Twp police must be retarded, that's the only explanation.
Sorry, that may be an insult to true retarded people.
