Glock Trigger Question
Hi,
I may have just screwed up a little. After taking a defensive handgun class a few weeks ago, and getting a blister on my finger on my G23 (grooved target trigger), I read that I could replace the trigger with the trigger from a G17 (smooth combat trigger). So I went home and did just that, I popped the trigger housing out of both my 23, and 17 and swapped them without changing the triggers on each, just dropped the housing and trigger into each gun. The both dry-fire fine.
Now I’m reading that the extractor on both units may be different.
Do I need to swap the trigger housings back, and just swap the triggers to ensure that I have the proper ejector on the gun?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Glock Trigger Question
You don't have to swap back. The trigger bars are the same. Only the trigger face is different.
You can buy an extra glock 17 trigger bar from Brownell's for $12.50.

Re: Glock Trigger Question
I'm not worried about the trigger bar, I'm worried about the extractor...

Re: Glock Trigger Question
If you swapped the trigger housing out with the trigger bar, you may have a problem. Glock has different part numbers for the 9mm housing and the .40 housing. I'd put the trigger housings back and just swap the trigger bars.

Got it, thats what I did, I swapped whole trigger housings.
I'll have to change-it-up tonight.
Thanks!

Re: Glock Trigger Question
The problem folks had with your story was the word EXTRACTOR.
The Glock extractor is located in the slide. The EJECTOR is located in the trigger housing group and should not be interchanged.
You did get the correct answer... swap the trigger bars and not the entire housing.
