Lee Enfield No4 Mk1-3
***** SOLD *****
For Sale: Lee Enfield No4 Mk1/3; the receiver says LONGBRANCH No4 Mk1*, and also has the FTR(3) on it. FTR means "Factory Thorough Repair" and when they did, they put on a Mk3 trigger group, hence the (3)- for Mk2 and Mk3 the trigger group is affixed to the action & barrel; in Mk1 the trigger group was affixed to the wood (stock), which was problematic. Anyway,
All 4 serial numbers match-
1. Receiver
2. Bolt
3. Band behind the trigger
4. Magazine
There's no import marks on it; its not a Century, C.A.I. or such.
I personally have shot about 500 rounds through it; many of those I reloaded 3 X. (Remington brass lasted 6 reloads before 1 out of 20 had a case separation) If you do your part it will shoot 4" groups. With a good handload recipe I was able to get 2" groups @ 100 yd., bench shooting w/scope (see photo).
For $250, I will include
* Extra Magazine
* .303 Brit Classic Lee Loader (reloading tool)
* canvas sling (forgot to photograph it)
* all the brass I have (100+ rounds).
* 2 boxes of mil-surp ammo
To the purchaser of the rifle I offer an S&K Scope Mount for $40 extra (retail price is $85 http://www.scopemounts.com/index.html?main.html#)Last edited by Enfielder; September 12th, 2009 at 07:56 PM. Reason: Sold
