Cheye Calvo explores the money behind SWAT raids
Another recent thread on here got me wondering what the outcome of this guy's case was. I believe Calvo released this video about a week ago. It's always nice to see someone in government point out that there is no accountability in the government.

Re: Cheye Calvo explores the money behind SWAT raids
it is really amazing when you look at some of what goes on with SWAT and police forces, they are funded in a large part by the money they seize in drug raids, why do you think the war on drugs is still in such a swing... gov't agencies rely on it to be able to afford to do what they do.
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

+500,000 rep to Calvo. I've followed his story a bit, and it's great to see him following up on this productively. Surely he could get Rep Hoyer to add an attachment to a Justice authorization or appropriation bill that requires some limits and some accountability on SWAT use/abuse.
What are the chances we could employ the RICO statutes against some of these paramilitary groups?
Oh yes, there are good cops & bad cops. It's pretty well established that PG County is enough on the bad side that RICO could be used, county officers could be jailed, and it would be a public good.
