DOES ANYONE KNOW EXACTLY HOW OBAMAS HEALTH CARE PLAN WILL AFFECT GUN OWNERS AND THE FIREARMS THEY OWN OR WHERE I CAN FIND THE CHAPTER ON GUNS IN HIS HEALTH CARE PLAN. ANYBODY ELSE NERVIOUS LIKE ME WITH THIS HEALTH PLAN ONE STEP CLOSER TO BEING PASSED.

The only direct impact is it will cost more... so you will have less money for guns/ammo than you do now.

Well, OP has a point ...

They slipped the clause to allow carry in national parks into a credit card reform bill and since no one in congress has read the health-care bill, it's hard to say what's hidden in it. Then again, maybe there's a national reciprocity clause in there !

If anyone has noticed, some doctor's now ask some personal questions about lifestyle in their new patient questionnaires. One of these is "Is there a gun in your household?" The purpose I guess is to identify "problem" areas that could affect your health.
Insurance companies also ask these kinds of questions. Do you have a dog?, do you have a gun?, etc. If the Government is in charge of insurance, then you are essentially telling the government that you are armed and giving them your address. Maybe the police can get this information anyway, but bean counters could not until now. As a form of gun control, the government could increase insurance rates for those who have a gun, claiming that it is a hazard. Since insurance companies may no longer be able to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions, they will have to find new creative ways to make otherwise healthy people pay extra.
So if you smoke, enjoy skydiving or have a gun, you will be in the high risk pool. But, if you would like to turn in your "assault weapon", we can give you a 20% discount.
