j-frame work near PGH
I have an old pinned model 60 S&W J-frame.
the trigger is way heavier than other 5-shots I have shot, and I have had a few light primer strikes.
it has a hammer mounted firing pin, I think it needs a new one.
anyone near Pittsburgh that is good and can work on this?

I'm not sure if I can have just the pin replaced but this hammer assembly seems like it would do the trick

Check your mainspring, sounds like its bad. Its a simple job you can do yourself. Order the spring from brownells. If you still have problems or you are not sure, get ahold of me, I'll hock you up with the armorers manual

If you would like me to look at I will but I would look to the main spring first.
Also when was the last time you had it serviced.
