Re: little league ball field
It is a private corporation. The ballfield is private property.
I wonder what his charge was. Where did you see/hear about it?
I have actually done protection jobs there. It is just arranged beforehand.
Be safe (and do not refuse to leave).

Re: little league ball field
the guy next door said it happened while hes was there. not sure if it was last night or today, but he told me not to take my sidearm if i was going. but he did say the guy that was arrested did refuse to leave, and that he kept saying that he has a ltcf. and that means he can carry any where. so this sounds like someone giving all of us a bad name

Open carry or concealed?
If concealed, how did they find out he was carrying.

Very extensive security procedures. You usually have to remove your belt and all. They get some pretty high speed walkthrough metal detectors on loan from BOP. Anything beeps, you are removing articles of clothing.
In the category of "some animals are more equal than others", last year I attended a semi-final game with the Family. I forgot about the procedures, never got up to the actual security checkpoint but had to walk back to my car, which I did. I get to the checkpoint and there are 6-8 LEOs standing around, all of which I knew. The SGT states "hey, I saw your Wife and kids". I retort "if I did not have to run back to my car, you would have seen me at the same time" with a perturbed ring to it. He looks at me with the "huh?" look, then he gets it and states "you should have said something, you could have come around this way" indicating bypassing the checkpoint. I smile and say "thanks, I'll be fine".
Be safe (and take me out to the ballpark).
