Looking for ccw facts... Can't find any

I was asked today how many people actually have a ccw and I can't find out anything. Nor can I find out how many people with ccw's have killed cops or people. I found some out of dat stuff... http://www2.indystar.com/articles/1/...-4651-092.html (2000)

Can anyone help me find out more?

I guess one can start by counting the members of the Gun Owners of America and the National Rifle Association who actually do carry a concealed weapon.

Gun Owners of America has over 300,000 members.

N.R.A. currently have 4.3 million members.

I guess someone needs to take a survey? I'm sure some of the information that you are seeking is available somewhere out there.

I wouldn't know the number of people with ccw's who have actually killed cops or people? I'm sure some of that information is available from some source or another.

There has been little information written or released on this subject. You might try using google searches for subjects like Texas CCW licensees or Florida CCW licenses, both of these states have released information over the past few years covering revocaions for cause.

Be sure to check the newsgroups also.

I've been checking but I'm not finding very much. It'd be very helpful defending guns if I can say something like "only .07% of ccw holders ever commit a crime". But I can't without proof

Check out the PAFOA County Database! There a hotbox right over the Forum topics list. Some of the information you seek (for PA anyhow) is there, listed by county.
