Looking for a .22 revolver.
Hi all. I am looking for a .22 revolver. Double action that will enable me to cock the hammer and shoot between double action and single at my choice. Any good quality ones out there like this? Not looking to break the bank either but want something accurate and good. Price range i should be looking at?
Thanks

Here's some good deals on gunbroker too :

If you go over $350 or so, many more options. Depends too if you want long barrel, short ? I'd keep asking questions and check them all out .
The K-22 mentioned is a beauty, but I assumed not breaking the bank meant not spending $700+ for a 22 revolverLast edited by cruzans; March 10th, 2011 at 04:31 PM.

Re: Looking for a .22 revolver.
If I were buying a .22 LR revolver today it would be a 6 inch Smith and Wesson 617. They are a bit pricey, in the 700 dollar range but with that you get a lifetime warranty and a fantastic machine. Let us know what you ended up buying.
BTW, used model 17's (the 617 is stainless, the 17 is not) are around the 400-500 price range and are also fantastic.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

Re: Looking for a .22 revolver.
First, any double action revolver can be cocked and used single action.
There are a LOT of quality double action and single action .22 revolvers out there in a variety of price ranges depending what it`s intended use is. First, what is the purpose of the gun? Target practice, trap line gun ( I love a nice single action), etc?
Give us something to work with.

Re: Looking for a .22 revolver.
As mentioned above, the S&W K22 is the top dog for .22rf revolvers - BUT they will break the bank.
Newer S&W .22's can be had cheaper.
Even though Taurus has a bad rap with revolvers, I wouldn't worry about the .22rf chambered guns.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag
