Tactical Seamstress?
Looking for someone who make some alterations to gear for me. Prefer in the Lancaster area so we could meet and discuss what I need altered.
Does anyone know of someone who can do that type of work? Guess it would require some sort of heavy duty sewing machine.

I've done well with shoe/luggage repair shops for getting custom harnesses made for scuba diving. They have big sewing machines.

I bet Streaker's good at making and altering clothing.

Our local shoe repair guy in Dover does all kinds of leatherwork for our horse bridles, saddles, and reins. Many dry cleaners have a local seamstress, many of whom have fairly heavy duty machines too.

Actually the wife runs the sewing machine, but I have made a couple of things on it.
I made this pouch to store a fishing rod in my car.
I wish the OP luck in his search summer before last I contacted a dozen different people advertising sewing services to make a nightgown for my wife for christmas. I didn't have a pattern but wanted them to replicate it from pictures, every single one refused to even try.Rules are written in the stone,

Re: Tactical Seamstress?
my neighbor designs soft body armor with kevlar and such he's not great at the finesse work as he is mainly the designer not the actual person who sews the stuff to make it look pretty, but if I remember right he knows someone in the area that has the right sewing machines and is an ace at this sort of thing I'll see if I can get his info. He should be in the lancaster area.
