Default Is Reading MAAC worth a visit May 16 & 17?

Anyone whose been to one of the Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors shows care to comment?

Do they primarily serve the collectors market or are other weapons available as well?

Based off of the last 2 that I went to.....no. Last one I went to had 1 AR firing pin in the whole place and I was there when it opened. This is just one example. That being said, I will still probably be there though...only 10 minutes away.

It's hit and miss. Some have been good and some not so. I'll still be there Saturday looking for some Class V.

It has a $6 entry fee. I've never been to this one but it's close (within 10 miles). I'll likely go Saturday morning. Looking for ammo and a belt holster for my S&W Model 60 snubbie. I already have a shoulder rig I bought from the Handgunner many years ago; but I would like a strong side (rh)leather holster. I probably won't buy any guns this time, as I bought the DPMS .223 in December, the Ruger LCP in March and a Henry 22 rifle last month.

We're going, it'll be Cheryl's first gunshow. It's so cute watching them grow up! Our daughter has her beat by one, this is her second. She acts like it's Halloween. All I have to do is get her through the teen years without serious incidents and we'll have another bona fide gunnut in our ranks.

Just called the promoter. Looks like it will be 25 tables smaller than the last show there.

I might still combine it with a trip to Cabela's, but it's not worth the gas by itself.

It's a fairly small show. There's a lot of ARs there, some at half-decent prices. There's also Romanian AKs going for the price that Arsenals commanded a few years ago The selection of ammo and accessories was relatively poor, unless your looking for ancient ammo in odd calibers. On the plus side it's about as uncrowded as a gun show is going to be, and one vendor is going out his his way to tell people they can feel free to pick up guns they're looking at, which I don't often see happen at Valley Forge.
