    Default Recoil Tables

I searched for this so hopefully I am not re-posting old news. I found these recoil tables online and thought they might be useful or at the very least interesting. They are not comprehensive lists for every possible loading and of course, recoil and felt recoil are two vastly different things. But for the person looking to get into firearms or the person looking to add a new caliber, here is some interesting info.

Even if the numbers don't necessarily mean much to you, you can always compare the numbers of a caliber you are used to in order to "feel out" what another caliber would be like. Of course, nothing beats range time.

Rifle recoil (wasn't going to start a whole new thread in the rifle section for this)

Always good to know. Here's another one for the list.
    500 S&W - 600 grain Rich Gibson bullet at 1200 fps (27 grains of Li'l Gun) from a T/C Encore pistol (4lbs?) = 54 ft.lbs free recoil. (4.5lb gun = 48ft.lbs)
