Arrest Record Public knowledge?

As far as I know, arrest records are public knowledge right?

A lady I work with came to me with a situation and I know that someone on here knows the answer.

Her ex-husband (father of her child) was in court in York for a Domestic Relations Hearing for another "baby mamma". After the hearing, he was arrested by the courthouse staff (as far as she knows). She is trying to figure out what he was arrested for. She is worried about what he is into now, since he has visitation once a week.

I told her to call the Sheriff's office, assuming that they served a warrant of some kind. They transferred her to "booking" which I assume is Court House Security. The officer said that all he had in his log was it was an arrest and release. How else can she find out what he was arrested for? This happened at the end of last week.

If nothing else...her divorce/custody lawyer should be able to get the dirt on this dude.

She asked them. They don't know why he was arrested. I guess she could PAY them to file some form or something to find out. Shouldn't she be able to do this for free?

He has been in jail for drugs. He has also been picked up for unpaid speeding tickets. She just wants to know if he getting back into dealing, or just has more tickets.

Wow, this thing is pretty good, I was arrested back in 1994 (case withdrawn by the commonwealth) and I just found the criminal docket for it.

I'm going to have fun with this.
