Awesome! I want to see one of these ships one day. Never had the privilege to see one in person before.

Those are some really nice pictures. I have a bunch from when the wife and I visited NC for our anniversary. We went to the battleship USS North Carolina, It is such a humbling feeling to be able to stand on such a ship. I spent 5 years on the carrier USS George Washington, but to step onto a ship that served our country in times of war was truly different. Thanks for posting them.

    Where is she anchored?

great photos... you dont realize how BIG those big guns are until things are put into perspective.
"The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government-and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws." (Edward Abbey, "The Right to Arms," Abbey's Road [New York, 1979])
I have my rifle. Do you?

    Awesome pics!!
I visited the New Jersey a few years ago. They have some of the 16 inch shells displayed there - those things are HUGE!
