    Default Glock grip plug

Recently bought third g19, my son bought grip plug for his so he got one for me. Has a USA flag on it, it's nice looking, however when plug is in can't install different backstrap, either one with beavertail or not. No big deal, just making certain this is not exclusive to my gun. If i really needed a different backstrap, i could modify backstrap or just toss plug and not use it. Anyone else come across this very minor situation ? Tried to send photo and thats another story PS i guess another reason not to plug up your glock

Many accessories have different versions for gen 4 Glocks vs earlier versions. Is the plug you got from your son the correct one for gen 4?. If he has a gen 3 or earlier and just got two of the same, that might explain it. Please let us know what you find.

Sure plug gen 4 laser engraved US flag. With plug in not quite enough room for bottom of backstrap to fit in. From MolonLabe LLC thru Amazon

Sounds like time to contact the dealer to see what they can do.

Grip plugs look nice. Grip plugs cover the thumb cutout in the frame to allow yanking a stuck mag out if the gun jams. Grip plugs have no actual benifit. Gen 4 with grip plugs block back straps.

I have a grip plug on my glock 34 because it smooths o reloads and fills that void. Meaning I can't smash a mag into that piece of plastic that separates the mag well from the gap. I only shoot that gun in matches
