Exclamation CeaseFire PA punches below the belt

With the avalanche of political ads im surprised I noticed an ad by CeaseFire PA.

I noticed it because they used some footage from the one meathead who ran from Philly....Anthony Hardy Williams.....I remember seeing the two individuals walking...one with a handgun tucked in the small of his back...the other holding a shotgun.

Its pretty low for Mary Beth Hacke (shown in the video) to use the death of her son as a political tool.

Oh wait...shes actually part of CeaseFire PA.....never-mind.

First and foremost, I feel for the tragic loss of a child in this manner, but any human being who would use such a tragic event to score political points is beyond contemptible.
Of every one hundred men in battle, ten should not even be there. Eighty, are nothing but targets. Nine are the real fighters, we are lucky to have them since they make the battle. Ah, but the one—one is the Warrior—and he brings the others home. —Heracletus

Dont get me wrong....im not discounting the child's death....I feel the same way you do....in that using his death this way is unconscionable.

I think they are very successful in both scaring people and giving them a false idea of what the law actually says and means.

CeaseFirePA is not to be taken lightly and are a worthy adversary. Never underestimate the power of stupid people or those who exploit them for political gain.

They disabled comments on the video. Too bad. Id love to write a scathing reply in typical YouTube flaming tradition.

Funny fact they DON'T tell you in the commercial - the guy that killed Ryan Hacke, Vaughn Mathis (DOB:09/29/1974), pled guilty to 6106 (an M1 at the time) and 6117 (altering or obliterating, a second degree felony!) in 1993, just four years before Ryan Hacke was killed.

He was sentenced to two years probation.

Why isn't Mary Beth Hacke outraged that he was given such a light sentence for those charges?

    From her CeasefirePA biography:
Mary Beth Hacke, 501(c)(4) joined the CeaseFire PA board as one of the original members. Her son was killed ten years ago, at the age of fourteen months, when he was shot at in their parked car at a gas station, by a convicted felon with a gun. Ever since then throughout her Pittsburgh community, she has been outspoken against lax regulations which allow criminals easy access to handguns.
What about lax judges that let criminals out on the streets?

What are you crazy? Keep violent repeat offenders behind bars? They need to be outside in the sunlight trying to better their lives!
