Anyone that moves into one of those 'communities' pretty much gives up most the rights America's enjoy, sucks BIG TIME but until someone decided to try and challenge these groups it's going to stay that way.

Quite a few of those places ban flags. They're just telling him that they don't want a massive flag pole in his front yard, but the stars and stripes are fine.


I voted that he should be allowed to keep it... but i agree that the flag pole should go if those are the rules.

Before my husband and I purchased the property to have our home built, we checked with the town and development to determine if it would be permissible to have a flag pole in front of our house. The town had no restrictions. The developments only restriction was that the pole could not be higher than the highest point of the house.

Here is a picture of the flagpole in front of the house. It has an American flag, flag that denotes a family member is presently serving, and the Navy flag.

If he hasn't earned the right to fly the flag then who the hell has ? I would live in a cave before I would be in a HOA. Totally tyrants .
