    Default NE Philly's Pennypack park....

Is Pennypack park in NE Philly a state park? I'm a bit confused about this and need clarification. The park is full of scumbags in the summer months and I'd feel better if I knew for sure that it's legal to carry there. There are some park rangers there, but I'm not sure under what authority.

As I understand it, carrying in state parks is only a summary offense, which I'm assuming means you only get a ticket. Is this correct?

It appears that it is not a state park, but rather part of Fairmount Park, which is described as "the municipal park system of Philadelphia".

Does this mean that there are no restrictions?

I guess whatever Mayor Nutter feels should apply.

This means that there are no legal restrictions, since the state has the only authority and municipalities cannot impose their own. That being said, Philly seems to have a hard time comprehending this concept.
