good place to get WWII bolt action in PA?
Can anyone point me to any good gunshops around the Chester/Phila PA area or even within about 60 to 80 mile driving radius that carry WWII C&R bolt action rifles?
I am mainly looking for British Enfield and German Mauser 98. i am not a collector I just want soemting in decent/good condition so i can shoot the hell out of it.
thanks

Log on to a site called mouseguns and at the end of the page there is a list of suppliers. You might find someone within your 60 mi. radius out of state.
In my area it's a catch as catch can at the local gunshops and a lot of times you have no idea what you're buying as a lot of junk gets traded in.
You might read the post called Mausers Mausers and contact PA Rifleman.

An afterthought go on line and look up century arms. They have a dealer locator that lists stores in PA. You can call the dealers and find out if they have anything in stock or just obtain some general info.

neither of the two listed has exspecially plentyful ammo around anymore.
the .303 coming out of pakistan is really a crap shoot, and the surplus 8mm just dryed up over night.
while it's pretty much bottom of the barrel as far as the cool factor, the mosin's are top dog for bang for the buck though.
with that though, i've been loking around for a k98 as well.Last edited by brian; December 25th, 2007 at 11:09 AM.

Re: good place to get WWII bolt action in PA?
Hey thanks a lot everyone. I do own a Mosin-Nagant myself picked it up DEC 16 at the vallyforge gunshow. haven't had a chance to go test it out yet. anywho i'll definally check out all the place mentioned above. anyone got a price range i should shoot for both the Mauser98 and Enfield? i am saving up for a AK-47 myself. so i don't think i'll be able afford it if both of them is around AK's price range.
thanks again!

I'll add a second for Seneca. Lots of boxes to crawl through too. Like a gun show with no admission fee.
