Gas Block and Handguard question for you AR-15 guys.
Yankee Hill offers a hand guard in "Specter" length which is like .65 longer than a Mid-length hand guard. They also offer a Specter gas block that is supposed to be inside the specter hand guard. I have a Mid-length Heavy barrel, so would work for me, without getting a rifle length hand guard?
Also my barrel has a .725 diameter at the sight base. I can only seem to find gas blocks in .750. Is this an uncommon diameter or a typo? (Note: I'm new to AR's and I don't physically have the barrel yet.)If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

Re: Gas Block and Handguard question for you AR-15 guys.
I think the Spector rail and block are designed for the carbine gas system. The gas block is at 7 inches on the carbine, and the spector rail extends 9 inches or so to cover the gas block.
To cover a midlength gas system with a rail you need to use a rifle length rail.
