Today could have gone better...
Picked up a brand new s&w governor from another member on here in a trade. Got all excited to shoot it so I ran to my local wal mart and picked up a box of federal 225gr 45 colts. Got to the range and noticed they looked a little dirty, but I figured its a revolver so no big deal. Loaded up 6 shots, fired 5 and everything was great. On the 6th shot though it was a squib load. Lodged the bullet about half way down the barrel and the case will not eject either. Then I noticed on what appeared to just be small spots on the cases I did eject like bubbled up and stuck to them. Could this have been the powder my squib load was missing and will federal give me a new box or a refund for my troubles? Well I hope everybody's Sundays off to a better start than mine.

Wowowowow! At least you noticed the stuck round and or it was on the last shot at least. Don't know what the sound is like when encountering a problem like that in a revolver, whether its enough to notice or not. Good luck!

I'd contact Federal with that picture, Box lot number and anything else relevant. I'm sure they'll be very interested. What if that was in the middle of a mag in a semi and you were hammering away? Could of been catastrophic.

Re: Today could have gone better...
Probably no damage now. If A WOODEN DOWEL ( NOT A WHITE METAL ROD) AND NO CAVE MAN TREATMENT TO STIKE THE LODGED BULLET. If the bullet is only lead and no jacket . even better luck ---there will be no resulting tele -tell signs at all after a cleaning. [wait....you said .45 colt...... your photo shows .40 S&W... what were you shooting in what??? Only use .45 acp , .45 colt , and the real intended .410 S.S = in Governor Revolver.]

If I were a bettin' man, I'd say that .40 is 5/100's of an inch smaller than .45. The bullet looks pretty straight in the barrel, not sure how that would get stuck unless it rolled or something.
