It's all over but the crying
Well today I will put away all my hunting crap for a long 9 month sleep.
Clean my guns, and attempt to put some order back to my office which has been strewn with camo for 3 1/2 months.
On the bright side I can start focusing on shooting again.FUCK BIDEN

You could take up turkey hunting. Only a few months to wait.

Re: It's all over but the crying
Flintlock ended yesterday. I gave the rifle a bath last night. Rabbit is still in for a few weeks and turkey is right around the corner. Woodchucks start showing themselves in the spring. Trout/steelhead fishing take over for me in the spring, but I still get out a bit. Indoor shooting for now...

I'm sorry to hear that your season is over. I hope you were sucessful this season. We still have two weeks to go here in special regs. for doe, so I'll be out the next two weekends looking for number three on the season. I think I am going to buy a flintlock to expand my buck opportunities next season.

Re: It's all over but the crying
Oh I hear ya! I cleaned out the good old 760 Gamemaster last week and thought, "Well it's all paper, pumpkins, & water jugs for awhile...". In the offseason, I really enjoy shooting my hunting rilfes. It really makes me feel like I put in a lot of effort when I load up the morning of opening day.
The other posters had some good points. Small game is blast and hitting up the lakes & streams is a good time too.

Re: It's all over but the crying
Only deer will get me out at 6am and hunting during the week. Still goose are open till the end of the month. Grouse till the 26th. Rabbits, squirrels and pheasant till Feb. 9th. Of the rest pheasant are the only ones I'll likely hunt abit on the Saturdays till then.
All in all it was a good season. I got my doe early during rifle season and I got alot of time in the woods after that and before, spending time communing with nature. The exercise, fresh air, peace and beauty of just being out there I enjoy nearly as much as having venison on my plate.
I'll be taking my son out to the range when the weather gets better for it. Perhaps he'll even do abit of hunting with me next year. Time will tell.
