IzhMash (AK's manufacturer) photo op
Those series of photos were made by Live Journal user vsirin (and yes, some people still use it ). I'll add some of my own commentaries for few of the photos.
Outside of the factory:
Inside (apparently the factory is located on abt 300 acres of land):
The vast majoriity of assembly is manual, of course:
In it's best years the factory produced 95 AKs hourly:
Ok, in the original commentary this guy (apparently attaching a barrel to a receiver) is called "guru", because he doesn't use any machinery (as intended), but uses a hammer and mallet instead. In my universe that surely explains shitty accuracy and completely fucked up sights:
Coating:
Assembly:
An ultimate screwdriver:
More to come...Je suis déplorable

Quality control:
Gun porn gangbang:
This chick does the engravings:
More quality control. I very much doubt they do it for every gun:
Waterboarding:
Freeze torture:
Heat torture:
Butterfinger torture:
And who cares about an accuracy after all that
The end.Je suis déplorable

Re: IzhMash (AK's manufacturer) photo op
I'm J/K. about my Izhmash it goes bang every single time and I can hit a man sized target 98% of the time out to 200yrds with the Iron sights so I'm very happy with it. I didn't buy it to win any sharp shooting contest. I usually never shoot beyond 50yrds with it and its real good at that distance with the irons and any ammo.

Great pics - thanks, I would never have found them there.
I wonder if their release though has anything to do with the bankrupcy and Rogozin's recent announcement?

Maybe it is - but the news, if one believes it - is rather bleak for them. The "guru" will be going away. Though in all fairness, IzhMash guns don't suffer from the horrid reputation of Cugir built ones with regards to cant and all, unless I have missed those reports.
Speaking of which there are rumors about Cugir as well, coincedence? Maybe. Maybe not.
