Took an anti to the range today!

I got a call yesterday from an old highschool friend asking me If I could replace the brakes on his car. We meet up this morning at the garage and got to talking. He asked me what I've been doing lately and we got on the subject of guns. He told me he couldn't understand why anyone but the police/military would need guns. I tried explaining the whole selfdefense, freedom etc... But he wasn't hearing it. I put his new brakes on and took his $$ When he was getting ready to leave I asked him if he ever shot a gun.He never did. I told him he should try it sometime before he knocks something he never tried. I told him I was going this afternoon if he wanted to go. I was very surprised when he agreed. I belong to Langhorne Rod/Gun so I took him there. We spent the first 15 minutes on safety. I started him off with a .22 pistol which he shot great. I knew right away he was enjoying himself. He ended shooting my S&W 357, .45 S&W M&P compact, Colt 1911, Saiga 223 and we finished of with Hawk 12 Guage w/slugs which he wanted to try. He did great and was safe. So after we were done I asked him what he thought about guns now? His response was when can you take me shopping for something and how long will it take to get my LTCF. It was a great day for us in the war against anti ignorance so thank you to everyone here who has taught me a lot. P.S.- I'm posting this from my phone so please don't bust my chops about grammer etc... HAHA!

Good to her. My girlfriend was the same way and now she is wanting to learn to shoot. Were taking it slow so she learns how to do it the right way. Me and hr are going to take a couple classes together. Mostly just to make her feel more comfortable by knowing someone in there. The first one is gonna kill me since its all gun safety and cleaning but it never hurts to go over the proper way to safely handle a firearm.
