    Smile Mosin for Christmas

Wow. I made out like a bandit this year, on top of the SKS I got the Mosin-Nagant 91/30 too! You really can't see it but the date on it is 1943. Battle of Stalingrad anyone? Sighs... one can hope. Also the bayonet matches the serial number.

Mosin are great. There is just something about a rifle with a bayonet as long as your arm that is neat.
Check out these sites and you maybe able to identify where your Mosin Nagant is from.

I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Thanks for the site. I was wondering if it may have seen combat on the Eastern front since it was made in 1943. That first one made me chuckle. I own an AK, and M4 and now a Mosin.

Nice looking rifle. I sold both my M44 as well as my 91/30 in seperat occasions, but I'm thinking of buying another 91/30. I like the idea of having a rifle that actually has some history behind it.

The wife surprised me with a Isversk M1891 Mosin Nagant dated 1916r for the holidays. I have about 15 Mosin's all WW2 or post war, but this is my first Czarist era one.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a second MN M91/59 at the Cabela's in Hamburg. I had a store certificate so the rifle was $89 OTD.
